Samantha Opp

Are you looking for a teacher...

...who can individualize her lesson plans JUST for you?

...who can make lessons engaging and relevant?

...who strongly believes in communication with parents?

I have been teaching piano for 14 years and I am most passionate in finding ways to make music a part of my students' lives in the long term. Many parents have commented on how the piano can be a lonely instrument, unlike band/orchestral instruments. I seek to create opportunities for my piano students to interact with each other, whether it be through overlapping lessons, pair lessons, group lessons, duets or big brother/big sister matching.

I received my Bachelor of Music at the University of the Pacific, and am a Board-Certified Music Therapist. My educational background equipped me to work with students with autism, providing adaptive piano lessons and individual music therapy sessions. My students study a diverse body of musical styles and repertoire from Beethoven to Fall Out Boy, based on their interests and musical goals.
